Exclamation 79 280ZX Heater Core

Can someone tell me how hard it would be to install a new heater core inside my 280ZX? I bought it and it doesn't have one. Since it gets unbelievably cold here, i want to put one in so i can be comfortable while driving.

It's not that bad. Pretty much anyone can do it. Pull the dash then pull the climate control system then pull the heater core out and replace (basically).

www.xenonS130.com for the FSM and instructions....

I have the same problem but was told by a friend not to pull the dash because it has not been disassembled in a while which might cause some screw holes to break. Is it true?

^^^ Welcome to ZDriver!

Cause screw holes to break? If your friend worded it like that, he's obviously not mechanically inclined.

We actually have a step by step "how to remove dash" write up: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/280zx-s130-forums-77/remove-dashboard-25586/
