280zx won’t crank

Hey guys, I just got a non running 280zx, it needed injectors and a brake job, but I also discovered that it won’t crank, I’ve replaced the starter and cleaned all my connections. I’ve also replaced the starter relay. When I turn the key, the ammeter shows power, but I still just get a clicking noise from the relay. Any suggestions?

Dang im in the same boat as you. Ive been thinking maybe my issue would be a missing inhibitor relay in the engine bay as I'm missing it on my 1980 280zx A/T. Have you tried shorting the starter to see if you get it to crank?

having a similar issue. car was running fine new fuel pump before i left for a 4 1/2 week vacation and now It wont crank. I checked battery and starter voltage everything is good on that end. next thing i havent tried but i'll get to sometime tomorrow is spraying a small amount of starter fluid into the throttle body and then driving it around and seeing if anything else happens. in the mean time did you end up finding out anything new with yours?
