240sx

" Its common practice to swap a 240sx tranny to a S30 or S130" quote from Cville300zx from Memphis Racing Scene. WTF we can do that?

You can swap in the transmission, but it's not a bolt in swap. You have to do a little machining. The transmission is a mild upgrade, but if you're going to go through the hassle you're better off doing the custom work to a Z32 transmission and buying the adapter plate to match up to the L-motor.

its good if you want 400 hp though. its drilling out the number one shift hole and counter boaring one of the main bearing slots of i also heard you can just swap the main bearing then you simply bolt the front half/bell housing of the S30 tranny onto the SX tranny. as for driveshaft i think its custom made. that or the stock one is just shortened 3 inches or something.

eh. i guess if i could get it in 6 speed then it might be worth it. other wise. i think i'll stick to my t5 search

the sx tranny is stronger than the t5 and great for a mild slightly powerful build. but if you want REAL power than a Z32 tranny is the only way
