I picked up a guage cluster today from a 2+2 with a 120mph speedometer. I read about a gear in the speedo that keeps the speed corect. I guess what I really want to know is can i just bolt it in, or do i have to do some mods?

 

the gears are in the speedo unit so its just a bolt on mod.. no need for any other mod

Hey I did the same conversion. You do not need anything to adapt it. Make sure nothing it rattling when you get it connected (make sure the cable is tight), bc it can be a pain to go back. Good luck and enjoy!!

 

thanks, I will just be taking the speedo out of the new cluster because some of the ***** are busted and I dont know If everything on it works yet. but mabie now I can see my top speed.
