Question Reinforcing the Chassis

The stock S130 body seems fairly rigid but it can always be better, helps the suspension perform for a start. There is very little around on whats others have done to stiffen it all up, I have some ideas but am not particularly interested in reinventing the wheel.

Any suggestions, sites?

Sounds like you need to check out this 280zx turbo:

There's not too much that needs re-inforcement on the S130... maybe a roll bar & some stiffer framerails....

i have a 383 stroker in my 1980 280zx, on nitrous. chassis stiffining is a must. before i stroked it, i made 330hp and 425torque, with a 100 shot on the dyno. and went 11.9 in the 1/4. i have not dynoed since i stroked it and uped the shot, but im looking to make 550hp and 650+torque. and run a low 10 if nothing brakes. im currently in the process of fabricating "subframe connectors." its been a real head scratcher but progress has been pretty steady. i will post pictures of what ive done, and of my future progress.

Pics of the subframe connectors would be good, there is another topic around where chassis stiffening has been recently discussed too. Compared with the S30 I'm impressed by the stock S130 chassis.

Try making them smaller. I know my camera spits out images that are HUGE. I can decrease their size by half and they're still bigger than the screen. Give that a try. And make sure they're in .jpg or something like that and not a bitmap or anything that uses a lot of KB.

Go to your photobucket account and it will have 3 columns under each picture: One is URL, one is IMG, and I cant remember what the other one is. Copy the entire IMG tag from the pic you want to post and paste that into your thread. Do this for each picture you want to post.

It will look like this:
[img] your pictures code here [/img]

so far a big difference.
when i launched before, my car wanted to pull to the left.
and now with just that, it goes straight.
but there not done yet.
from the plates i welded to the front

to the rear cross bar

there is going to be a 1 1/2 inch bar welded to the front and welded to the center of the frame rail, and will bolt up to rear crossbar.
i made the crossbar removable, just incase i need to take it off for some reason.
