Front and Rear strut bars for a '79zx

Hey... I've been looking for Strut bars for my '79 and I've been pretty unsuccessful... I managed to find a set on ebay, but I couldn't find the company that made them, so I'm rather ****ed right now... I don't have the funs to immediately buy them, but it'd help if anyone knew where I could get a decent set of strut bars for both the front and rear of my '79 zx, thanks

JD

Are you guys talking about swaybars, or strut tower bars? Cuz I've never seen a company that makes a rear strut tower bar for the 280ZX before.

Contact Cusco, they made rear strut tower bars for ZX's. I don't know if they still do, but the last time I saw one for sale was when I was visiting in Japan. It was in a race shop in Osaka, used for 20 bucks. Too bad I was living miles away in Tokyo and had a weight limit for stuff I could bring back when I left for the States, or else I woulda bought it!

Nice. But then again i think lww has a point. Why pay about 180 after shipping for ONE when i could fab both for a fraction of that? I think thats going to be my next project . . . .

I just picked up my Cusco rear from MSA this weekend. ^___^ Since I got my front Cusco bar for only $100, I figure the 2 bars average out to about $140 a piece. It's gonna require cutting out about a square inch of plastic to fit the brackets, but it should be an easy install. Unlike the blue front strut bar, the rear is polished; looks great!

Welp, after takin' her out for a spin, I can say I'm very pleased with the rear strut bar. I feel so much more secure taking those circular freeway onramps. ^_^
