ZG Flares

I thought you S130 guys might find this interesting. I know a few people were wondering what a 280ZX would look like with ZGs

I think flares of that sort kill the lines on the S30. It's just such a smooth body that when you break it up with big, protruding fender flares it looks kind of funny. Atleast on a street car. The 280zx was designed with bigger flares to begin with so making them a little wider doesnt really offset anything.

Of course I also happen to think that the regular 240Z is a much better looking car then the 240ZG. Sure the ZG looks a little more aerodynamic, but that doesnt make it look any better. Sometimes, things being rare offers the illusion that it is better

Damn straight!!

Id like to see more S130's with ZG's. Only thing is it will take a huge wheel to fill them out. Thats why Im waitng till I have enough power to back up a set of 9.5 inch Watanabes before I get a set ZG's.

This page has little bit of info..

Indeed... I've been through 303 pages of his site... sheesh! Engine after engine.... suspension after suspension... rims style after rims style... That hood and front airdam have been worked a number of times too.

I just want to make sure that this guy used regular S30 ZG flares and made them work on the S130? I might be ordering some flares from MSA if this is the case. It turns out my new wheels are actually 17x10 in the back and I may need flares to make them work.

Thanks

Glad to see the topic of ZGs on a S130 again, Ive asked a million times if its ever been done by any one in America on HybridZ with no luck, looks like one of us has to bite the bullet and buy a set and hope they mount good. But heck I really wont mind if the 16x10 -25mm offset wheels im buying stick out a bit lol. I love that Z though, everything about it: the front air dam(anyone know what company made it?), the wheels, the flares, the drifting...everything but the 2+2 lol. Nice to see the Japaneses have lots of S130 love!

PS check it out on page 11, he buys coilovers! maybe a manufacturer in Japan makes S130 coilovers!

BTW wheres the vid I want to see the 2+2 sliding!

ditto^^^^ but on the S30 liek its supposed to be, ive seen flares added on, you have to cut out the outer and inner well bend them together and fold them over and tack weld them so the flares are actually functional... yeah thats professional work right there.
