Question Stock wheels-

I recently picked up a set of stock turbo wheels ( the four spoked ones) off ebay. They have gold stuff in the grooves. Im assuming that came stock?? Any way, how can i get it off, is it paint or anodized? Also i saw a set that were acid etched, any one know how to do this? or any other ways to fix em up. Thanks!

i had the same gold crap on my rims too... i used this one eagle mag wheel cleaner that pretty muched whitewashed my rims.. i let it sit for a lot longer then i was suppose to and it just ate through the gold crap that was between the spokes... after that you can polish the rims and they'll come out the way you want them to....

most auto stors have it.. its the eagle brand mag wheel cleaner.. but it pretty much white washes the aluminum wheels... if you still have a lil trouble getting the gold out after spraying the eagle mag wheel cleaner on it.. go over the gold with a pad of scotch brite to hep remove the gold on your rims..

you can buff out the scratches with a buffer or try using a good metal polish... that stuff works great!!!

buff out the scratches.......that dont work.....only people that say thta are people who are trying to sell you something or like painted your car and theres scratches all over it "ohhh i wouldnt worry abou tthat you can just go and.,......buff it out...."
screw that....if you could just buff out scratches people wouldnt spend 300 hours sandingh their stuff untill its GLASS!!!
im not at that step yet but i will hand sand mine untill it looks nice....then ill get em chrome dipped or just powder coated....
