rims

will these fit on my wih prop adapters??? 81 280zx
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Im selling my Tenzo shu 4's they are 17x7 with a 42 mm offset...The Rims are in very good condition. There are a some slight curb marks but nothing big. These are some kick *Censored**Censored**Censored* looking rims with a nice deep dish style. They are *4 LUG*.
All tires are mounted and balanced
One rim has a brand new tire never driving on and the other three tires have about 70% tread left. The offset of the rims is 42, Im not a wheel expert but if you email me with your car i probably can find the offset for you. The rims are sold new for about 1200$ with some cheap tires depending on where you get them. There are a few other things that come with this auction...

THE SALE INCLUDES:
~4 Rims w/Tires
~16 Tuner Lugs w/key
~4 Spacers (whether you need them or not)
~4 Wheel locks w/key

A lot of their arguments are in making the overall outside diameter taller. You don't need to do that. Figure out your proper tire size so that it matches the circumfrance of a 205/60-15 tire.

Also, a super wide wheel is heavier so yes that decreases acceleration. It only increases traction off the line by allowing a really wide tire. And low profile tires on an H2 decrease its rock crawling capabilities. How many SUV drivers with 22" wheels ever take their vehicle onto a dirt road much less rock crawling. its all for looks. If you drive a 6,000 pound, $60,000 vehicle with a V8 to work every day with $2000 wheels you obviously don't care about how well it can rock crawl or how much money you spend on fuel.

On a Z, get 7" width or smaller. 8" is too wide and probably overkill unless you're autocross racing all the time or have a V8. Besides, if I were to buy 17" wheels for my Z it would not be for performance. Its all for looks!

I dunno if you all read Grassroots Motorsports, but they did an article not too long ago on tire sizes and found 17's to be the best overall performers in the autocross for their test vehicles. The 16's and 15's had too much sidewall flex in the corners and the 18's severely slowed down the vehicle. As long as you avoid deep potholes and don't get a really thin tire, you'll be alright on the street with a bigger rim size.

Oh btw, Skully those will bolt to your Z with the spacers since they are 4 X 114.3, the only downside is the weight of the wheel won't be centered on the wheel bearing all the way. The adaptors sold by Modern-motorsports allows you use 4 X 100 bolt pattern rims. Thought I'd clear stuff up for you.
