rims

I am in the process of starting to rebuild my 280ZX. Now, the LAST thing I need is a set of rims. However, I'd like something bigger than the 14" stock 6 spokes that are currently keeping the body off the ground. Is 17" too large, and do I have to do any mods to the steering to keep them from rubbing? I was thinking about the Tenzo zr-6 (I think that's the model number...flat, 8spoke....) in graphite on a black 280.

ive got a set of 17" Tenzo shu 4s but your going to have to buy some spacers... the bolt pattern will work but the offsets are all wrong... a stock 280ZX has an offset at "0" and i know that all the new cooler rims out there all have offsets from 36mm to 42mm before you put your rims on you have to get spacers for them.. go to www.modern-motorsports.com and 17s will be just fine... i wouldnt go any lower on tires then 45 series.. 40s are too.. you shouldnt have any problems with clearance..
