We just repaired my driver side door from a break in. We had to replace the old door handle and we got it all and it worked, then we got keys made for it, and all of the sudden it won't alock from inside or out at all, u either have to climb out the window or the passenger side door. I can not see a way to beable to take off the door panel w/ out it upon and i need it fixed. If anyone has had this problem or has any ideas that would be great

 

like keys dont work for it...or keys turn but nothing happens
if keys turn but nuttin happens then....
the lock is connected with steel rod to the mechanism in the door and is attached by little plastic rivets...all it could be is the rod pulled out and its not locking...my passenger door cant be locked from outside cuz of that the rod fell off and its rattling in there and annoying the hell out of me!! try getting a service to unlock your car with one of those "coat hangers" they have...

 

like keys will but it will only turn the lock halfway open and its on the driver side, like u can see from the other side that the inside lock is moving back and forth isn't going far enough to unlatch it. and u can't even like push the lock inside all the way out and try to open it, it just resists, but that is the only thing i could think of is get a locksmith service to get it open for me

 

i forget but i think the rod has length adjustment, so when you get the door unlocked just theres a screw you can twist out to make the rod longer...if it doesnt..then maybe the rod is bent and doesnt wana extend all the way..
