Ok guys another ? The digital readout on my stock 1981 radio is not working properly. Sometimes it comes on but usually it is dark and Ican't get it to come on. Sometimes it will come on while I'm driving the car.....
Any suggestions.

I like the stock look too! But after buying 2 more radios that worked when purchased and did the same thing mine did within a few months, i just gave up that stock look on the radio and went cd player. It was done neat and clean and the best part is it has the ipod jack. You have to remember that the old used radios are as old as the one you have, so if they dont already have your problems, they will soon. A buddy sent his off to have it totally reworked, but it was like $250. My digital readout etc going in and out was sporadic and i was scared to pay 250 and it not really fix all the problems. My luck, just like taking a poor-running car to the mechanic, it will run perfect until you leave his shop and act up again. It is tough, but once you make the change to a cd player, YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK !
