Assuming that cupholder thing is the same as the one MSA sells, I felt the holders were too shallow to feel secure putting a drink in.

I wouldn't drink or eat ANYTHING in my '82 - the interior's perfect, and ALL STOCK! Tan, even.

If I spilled something, I'd go nuts.

they look the same to me...

and yeah those cupholders are quite worthless, but the new armrest itself is quite comfy wouldn't you say

I put one in my 240z and it really is comfy. Unfortunately, the cup holders for the s30 are in the front and no, they're not big enough (for a modern drink = 42oz waistline expander) and they are a bit too shallow. I'll be using my dremel to fix the latter problem, but not the former.

I never have time to drink anything while I'm driving (Usually gotta have both hands on the wheel ), and the little cup holders molded into the inside of the glove box door work OK for when you are parked

I Figure Stop Lights Are Good Time To Drink Cause If You Hit A Bump You Might Spill Your Drink. 2 Hands Always Rec. Specially Through Cones!!!

no no drinking in the Z...screw that...no food, ESPECIALY CHIPS OR SKITTLES AND M&M's...nothing...not even close to it...ive spent enough time scrubing and replacing, painting and taking care of it so one of my friend jackasses can spill MM's or SKITTLES under the seat or dump a 2 liter big gulp on the carpet!!!! GRRR!!!!
(yes you can see ive had incidents of spillage in other cars..and lemme tell ya a 2 liter BIG GULP in the carpet doesnt look good, so now when we go out...and sombody gets a drink, we ductape the lid shut !!!!)

I bought some of these nice folding cupholders off Ebay that I'm going to figure out somewhere to mount them in the car (perhaps each door). Hell, it was a "bulk" deal, so I even have one on my bed! They fold into a flat square, and when open, have adjustable width arms and a tray-like bottom so I can put whatever in there. Otherwise, I'm restricted to bottled drinks only and have to wedge them between the seat and door or seat and center armrest. ^^

I have found that the little spot between the center console and the passenger seat right in front of the seat belt buckle is a great place for a 1 Litre soda bottle....

Thats where my cup holder is Rod. And it automatically adjusts to fit your size beverage container. I've yet to have a drink spill there either. I have a hot transmission tunnel problem though so cold drinks don't tend to last too long there. No carpet or insulation. Does wonders for keeping coffee hot though
