center pillar/finisher

Hi,

The black plastic center pillar by the passenger side broke, the remaining parts of the screws are inside the body of the car, so I removed the interior panel to get to the screws and replace the pillar. When I removed the interior panel only one large screw has a nut from the inside that could be removed to allow the screw of the new pillar to be installed, but the remaining three small screws don't go through. These old small screws broke and the remaining parts are inside the body of the car, and I have no idea how to remove them or how in the world Nissan attached these screws in the first place because I can't see them from the inside like the large screw. I can't even figure out how to install them if you can't get to them from the inside.
Any ideas that help me install the new pillar would be very much appreciated.

Thank you
zfanman
I have a 82 280zx n/a all stock.

there should only be one screw that holds that piece in place.. and it held down buy a nut that you get access to from the inside... the other screws yoru refering to are not screws at all but alignment pegs.. there just plastic pegs that go into holes so that piece dont moveonce you have it tightend down...

Gorgeous z

Thank you. I never thought that I'll get an answer on this post.

Do you know by any chance how can I remove the broken pegs from behind the pillar inside the body?

Thanks
