What's the difference?!
I've just recently started looking at the Z's and was wondering if somebody, anybody, everybody ... could tell me the difference between the 240Z / 260Z / 280Z please. I'm interested in engine performance, handling, and any major physical differences. It doesn't have to be all that detailed as I am a novice. But if anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks, Geoff

240z-fastest, best looking, least comftable.
260z-bigger engine, slightly heavier slower than 240
280z- bigger engine still, Fuel injection, heavier still. Ugly bumpers. Most comftable.
So if you want spped go 240, if you want a bit more luxury go 280.

I made this little Z-Car history page a few years ago.

It goes over the differences and has pictures of the models, even into the 80's and 90's. Some people go for the 280Z beacuse of the larger engine and fuel injection, then they put on the bumpers from a 240Z to have the classic look. That's my personal favorite for the old Z-cars.
