I went down to the parts store getting ready to buy a clutch, then the guy asked me what size clutch 7'' or 9 1/2"? I dont know what my car would be. Any clue

225mm is stock on 2 seater with manual trans at least. On 2+2 and turbo, the clutch was 240mm which has better holding power. They are interchangable but you'll need a flywheel with a set of holes to fit the 240mm pressure plate.

I don't know the conversion to standard.. I'm not a native american : )

 

Go to nopi.com they have centerforce clutches for cheaper than other people I've seen and buy yourself one of those I have dual friction and love it, I've also had a II both are great for puttin power down I think. But 7" or 9 1/2" what.

What turns? There all straight to my Z

 

Nopi is cheap, but you need to search as 280zx so you can get 2+2 bigger clutch. Does not come out as 280Z

 

Cool I didn't know that or I would have said something. I have a 70' 240 so I know those parts, and some others.
