Vacuum Reservoir For My 260Z
Hi folks,
Today I learned what vacuum reservoirs are good for.
Foolishly thinking I could just hook the Fast Idle Control Device and its vacuum switch to the manifold vacuum, I saw terribly intermittent operation. Was kind of fun to watch it vary with the engine revs but ... some research (yeah, reading the A/C section FSM and some net searches) I now know I need a vacuum reservoir to supply steady vacuum for the FICD.
Looking at eBay and such I don't like the original reservoirs for the 260s and on but there are a couple of nice looking aftermarket ones out there. Here's one: Vacuum Reservoir Tank w Hardware Chrome WPM 9971 | eBay
Question is, are these appropriate for what I want to do? I noticed a couple of them mention hooking them to your brake booster as well.
Some experienced advice will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Scott
