Re: tell me wut you think
The 240z i own at the moment is my first car, and I really enjoy spending the weekends working on it. I am like you, I don't have much money to spend on it, but I still dso little thing shere and there. If you pay more when you buy it, the less you will have to spend on it

Re: tell me wut you think
Same as everyone else .. im a student and i have a 260Z 2+2 and 2 240Zs
But i would have to dissagree with what alan says, pay more and you get more...
If you buy a cheap car, you get to have it straight away ... you know what has been fixed and how well etc, it will probably cost a little more in the long run to buy a cheaper car but it will be done the way you want it and you know what has been done to the car .....
My friend bought a Z(RB30 Turbo conversion) for over $15,000, and there is rust coming through, a couple of bad repairs and mechanical problems ....

Re: tell me wut you think
bad luck skully, you are really missing out! ha ha.
But jake, it really does depend i guess. I must admit, i did just spen $750 on getting the whole underside done cause of frame rust, but the body is nearly perfect, and the rust there is I can fix myself without stuffing up the paint job. I guess you gotta find one that you can afford and that won't cost too much in the future

i bought mine for 2000, cheap for what it was, but now i've spent alota, and its still pretty #@$%, but give it till next year's national's and well have a good streeter...
also i'm happy i'm doing all the work myself also... like the body and stuff.. i know what is done and wat isn't, and in my case everything shall be done

Re: tell me wut you think
just a word of advice....don't try to sink all your money into a Z - it's a project car, and will require constant work and supply of money. Unless you have a daily driver or other means to get around when the Z is dead, weigh out your options
