So I found a SUPER clean 280z in my area for sale. Dude wants 3000. Unfortunately it has a dumb sun roof. To be honest install looks really clean and professional and doesnt leak but I have definitely seen some mixed reviews.

Like I said the cars in great shape and clean besides that, is it worth it or should I just pass on this car due to that roof???

Sunroofs aren't that big of a deal. I had one in my car and once I took it off, cleaned it and sealed it and reinstalled it, it was bitchin.

I believe it just pops up in the back. I mean it doesnt look bad I suppose but original is always a nice thing.
How structurally damaging are they? From what I thought most the structure of a roof was ran along the edges where the posts are across the top of the doors and the center of the roof was just essentially sheet metal...am i wrong?

That definitely wouldn't stop me from buying the car if the rest of it was nice. I say go for it!

He was asking $3200 which i thought was steep. I offered him $3000 and he one person to show it to this afternoon so I'll see what his response is.
