sounds fair enough. figured once warm it wouldnt be an issue, just concerned about start up and it holding an idle. but good deal. no guesses at that cactus sticker lol

the forward blockoff plate I have also heard it called an AAC valve. Its useless and found only on the turbo intake manifolds.

You use the throttle plate stopper screw to adjust your idle speed.
Looks like a good start aside from not having the turbo ECU and distributor.

i know how to adjust the idle, i just meant the lack of the air regulator setup in general effecting the idle, but no worries. and paint is going to be close to first yes. gotta pull the motor and trans and dash and seats and strip it all down, any minute surface rust or old sealer and then re-seal it all assembly the interior then paint then dropping the subframes and overhauling them then back up with hopefully my new suspension setup then motor and crap back in this time as a manual trans and then get it to run. should be fun!

The other guy that (kinda) helped with my S30 has a megasquirted S130... he did the setup a couple years ago... it hasn't moved since.

LOL, well randy, that person either did the install wrong or has NO idea how to tune a turd in the toilet. megasquirt is fairly simple from what i hear, but i do also get intimidated by it alittle. its mostly the ignition maps that spook me, i have friends that i know can tune fuel maps, but those ignition maps, idk....

and Jeff, yeah i'll totally put ur *** to work (not in the way you're probably thinking though queer) only problem is you are in colorado with a bunch of dudes and fat chicks, im hoping to be driving the car in may... hoping...

big? ha that isnt ****. maybe im just used to working hard on my Z's. but this car is easy as cake. not a big project at all, it will move along VERY fast. but i also have torn apart more Z's than the average person and worked on more Z's in MUCH MUCH worse shape than this. its a normal project in my eyes...

ps. one more thing jeff, it may be white now but in the end it will be the anti version. black on black on black lol. but not all murdered out and stupid crap like that.

lol lol lol... turd burglar lol.

currently the Z is on hold. my cousin in florida just picked up a turbo zx for 200 bucks and is apparently going to send me all the electronics off it i need. yayyyy!!!! but also i dropped my bike back in october and so i have stripped all the plastics off it, replaced the air filter, plastic welded the upper that cracked and have been painting it, at the same time ive been tearing apart the DSM to get the clutch pedal assembly out to fix it so it finally shifts perfectly and then i can sell it for goooood money. luckily the bike should be done in the next day and the dsm should be done by this weekend. then sold asap. then $$$$$$ for the Z. also i get to go dd shopping. anyone got suggestions? im trying to keep it in the 1500 dollar range, rwd or awd manual and semi sporty. but something simple i wont be to tempted to mod (like 240sx or an e36 3 series or maybe an older impreza i really like the 98 2.5rs for some reason.)

subaru forester's pretty cool. my dad just got one for an extra dd and it's pretty nice man. not too terribly tempting to mod because it's so ugly.

and really dude, you've got to admit, that a complete tear down restoration is considered a big job by anyone, no matter how many of them they've done... yeah, jobs get bigger, but really...

meh. these cars are just so simple. unless i was re-wiring the whole car or doing stuff that requires alot of attention like some unorthodox motor swap i think its no big deal. as far S30's go.

and i want my dd do be some what of a sporty appeal. when i said something im not tempted to mod i meant something with lots of potential as it sits. like an SX id maybe want to change the front end on it a little, maybe a different style nissan rim just to clean it up a little but i wouldnt like put money into anything performance wise or big bucks. that's what the Z is for.

also i don't like trucks, and i don't want a heap either.

dont want to go older than the 90's, and RWD and manual. for a DD i like and certain level of comfort in the interior and style that i just don't like in the 80's and earlier cars, except 944's they have a decent interior

so get a small truck the only thing you will be tempted to do is take it off road. And i don't think it really matters what you get your going to tune and play with it anyway

you've got some stiff stipulations. i can't really think of a car with performance that's good already that i wouldn't want to upgrade. the closest thing i can think of is really a z32 n/a, because it's just not worth it to upgrade it. for the most part though, if it's got good performance, you'll want to do something to make it better. what's an example of something you're thinking of?
