Sensor light
I have an 82 280ZX 2+2, non turbo. When I bought the car the wire to the sensor light was disconected, under the glove box. When I connected it, the sensor light came on, on the dash. The car only has 52k miles, I am the second owner. How can I read the computer to get the code? Or does the light come on automatically at say 50K for an inspection? The car runs fine. I just checked and I got 18 mpg in the city with new plugs, cap, and rotor. Plug wires are orignal, and boy are they cracked! New set of accel wires are on the way. Thanks for the help.

Re: Sensor light
What mpg's should I be getting? It revs at 3500 on the highway (around 70mph). This seems a bit high to me. It is a 1982 automatic non turbo. I guess it doesn't have overdrive. I'll replace the O2 sensor. Where would I find it, and is any brand better than others?
