recently inherited a 240Z
My father recently passed away and left me his 1970 half year 240z. I was planning on keeping this car stored at my parent's house until i had graduated from the college that i am attending in Jacksonville, FL, but due to the hurricanes from last year, my mother is being forced have major repairs done to her house. The contractors are telling her that the car must be moved from her garage in order to finish the repairs. I was planning on having the 240 towed to Jacksonville to have it restored after i graduated in december but now it seems that i must do this within the next couple of weeks. I currently reside in an apartment and i have no place to store the 240. I was wondering if anyone knew of any place in florida (preferably north of Tampa) that might restore the car on a pay as you go basis. My brother recently had a '78 triumph spitfire restored at a place which stored the car and just allowed my bother to make payments as the car was restored. I was considering this place but they only do work on british sports cars. I really don't want to have to sell the 240z because i loved this car growing up and my father wanted me to have it, but i am kind of in a pinch and i don't know what to do. If anyone can help i would be of great thanks.

I'm sorry you lost your Dad and understand why you want to hang on to his car. It might be a good idea to move it to storage untill your Mom's house is finished and move it back home untill you can supervise the restoration or do it yourself. There are only a few thousand first year Zs left. When it's all comple, take it out late at night and go fast enough to scare yourself. Then glance over to the passenger seat--------. Don't say I'm crazy untill you've done it.
