q. for adj. tokico adjustable users!!
Just read saw an artice in Options, and they have the electronic damping force controller that allows you to adjust the firmness of the shocks from inside the cabin electronically!! I already called them to see if they had anything for the tokicos but nada. Anybody know of something else??

Unless you are on a race track and need to adjust for changing conditions, I am not sure what benefit a street car would get for the expense.

By the way, know of any place to get a quaife lsd for an r200 cheap?? Im still saving up to do the rear-end and i just got my parts back from jet-hot so im digging in the sofa for extra moolah. Found out modern-motorsports was selling them for dirt-cheap but they were for the wrong one or something??

If you are a little patient, guys over at hybridz are working on a kit to swap in the R230 which should be plentiful because they were available in so many Nissans and have LSD.

Hi
Hey scottie do you know what the weight difference is between the r230 and r200. Ive heard that the rear gear ratio is below 3.5 and more suited to a torquey V8. would it be practical for a mild, early z.

I had a Toyota 4x4 p/u that I had a bunch of rancho suspention stuff on including the RS 9000 shocks, you can adjust them from right there in the cabin. It was sweet for when your out wheelin and bouncing around, good for the hwy too. That and it was just trick to be able to screw with your settings while driving. I think I saw some bilstine's or koni's with that option somewhere for Z's

The R200 is a 8" ring gear and the R230 is a 9" ring gear, yeah, 9" just like the famous Ford 9". As a result, you expect it to be heavier but the diff is much shorter than the R200 so the weight difference mught not be as bad as expected. If you have the kind of HP that needs a R230, that extra weight means nothing.
The average built up L28ET is just fine with the R200 but if you want a LSD, you are limited to big bucks for a Quaife or trying to find the elusive 300ZXT 3.70 LSD. The R230 LSD is in several Nissans with 3.54 being the lowest (highest ratio).
