p79 OR p90

I am looking to build a L28 and i am not sure which way to go P79 or P90 i have heard mixed reviews and i figured i would as you guys. I am hoping to get so decent N/A hp out of it if you would give me some sort of idea as to what i am looking at. And what do you think about the 2.8 big bore stroker kit? thanks

Welcome to ZDriver! The interweb is a mighty useful tool.

Lots of info about the questions you asked. P90 is a good head, but unless you already have one, prolly not worth the cost of obtaining one (unless you can get a good one for cheap). Just take the P79 to a machine shop & have them build it.

Also... stroker motor can be costly, can be cheap.... if you want a lot of RELIABLE power... expect to pay a lot.

The difference between the two is the exhaust ports. The P90 appearing to have slightly larger ports and no metal liners. The power difference is negligable.
The P90 should be the better choice but is harder to find.
The stroker kit is for advanced engine builders and not a cheap upgrade. They do add a lot of torque to the engine.

Thanks for the help guys but i was looking and there is only a $60.00 difference between the two. http://www.zcarsource.com/content/p/..._Cylinder_Head http://www.zcarsource.com/content/p/..._Cylinder_Head

Do you think this is a good deal for a rebuilt head?

Does that rebuilt motor come w/ the turbo, ecu, wiring harness, and 240mm flywheel?

buy a used L28et complete. ($600 or less) Then have a local shop rebuild the head and block to stock specs. You should be good there.

New injectors, new alternator, new battery and I think you'll be good for a while.
