Which notch is actually top dead center?

Which notch is actually top dead center?
When looking at the notches from where you shine the timing light. Which mark is top dead center and which is retard? Would the top most one be top dead cent, or the bottom? My Haynes book doesn't say.

I just timed mine a few days ago and it was the 2nd pointer from the top. I believe the pointers are in 5 degree increments.
