I am in the midst of rebuilding a 1974 260Z, and have decided to just totally replace the engine. I am not much of an engine buff, so I need help getting the most torque and Horsepower that I can in the little space I have to play with. I appreciate all the help you can give.

Right now I have no price limit, however I want the most horsepower and torque for the cheapest price. Please help me.

Well kewlcat, for maximum grunt at minimum cost you would have to consider sticking a 350 chev under the hood. Opinions vary on whether this is a good thing to do in terms of asthetics & tradition, but performance wise the V8 has a lot going for it in terms of bang for buck.
