My new 280 won't start, no power to fuel pump?

So I am the proud new owner of a 1977 280, and I'm in desperate need of help as I need to get this baby running before the snow comes. If anyone could give me some insight I would be most grateful. Please excuse any stupidity on my part as this is my first Z and Ive only ever worked on my hondas before. Thanks in advance!

My mechanical issues are as follows:

1. The fuel pump was supposedly bad, I installed a new napa pump but I don;t think it's getting power, I'm going out to test light it today. I'm thinking it may be a tripped fuel pump relay or a broken/ corroded wire going to the pump. So my question is where is the fuel pump relay so I can reset it?

2. 1 of my brake fluid res. is bone dry, I believe I may have a leak in a line, but I just thought I'd make sure theres not some common easy problem I'm overlooking before I tear into it.

Ok so I spent a few hours in the z with a test light, i'm 80% sure the problem lies in this little box under the passenger side dash, it has 5 wires coming out of it and there seems to be an empty spot where a 6th could or should be. I "think" it's the transistor ignition unit, but not sure. Can someone confirm?

The funny thing here is that some wires coming out of the box are hot where as some aren't it's as if induvidual ports burned up in this thing.

In either case, assuming this is the TIU, am I even in the right place for no power to the fuel pump?

Won't start

I ran into the same issues with my 76 280z. My poroblem was that there are two red wires not power cables going to the battery. The longer wire goes to the ground terminal of the battery. Troubleshot this for a whole week.

Good luck.
