Is my Choke working correctly??
Hey, i just fixed my choke up, but its not working how some other carburaterd cars work...
first off its a L26 with early 240z Carbs It starts first go, when cold, but sit on 550rpm, and my normal idle is at 850rpm, i thought the choke put more petrol in the engine so that it revs higher, so it warms up quicker... am i write or wrong, I would be really confortable if i could get it to rev around the 1500rpm mark when i have the choke fully out, is this possible with the Su carbies or not, this is what my sisters car does (revs 1500rpm) , and wouldn't mind it to do that, so i don't have to sit there for 2 minutes, after i stoped driving the car for only 2 hours or so. early mornings i warm it up till the temp guage gets to quater, which takes 5-7minutes so don't say i don't warm the car up.. .. 76 260z The NiteRider |
Re: Is my Choke working correctly??
I don't think so, as i can get mine to rev as high as about 1500rpm
