MSD 6al and RPM Confusion Still

I have read most if not all posts on numerous sites to no avail. 1971 240Z virtually stock...ran great with Pertronex Igniter. I just added an MSD 6al, Blaster 2 and Tach Adapter 8920 and eliminated the ballast resistor. Now, 250 RPM is the best that I can get. I do not have a need for the rev limiter, so I did not cut one of the loopson the MSD 6al. MSD's rep said that I do not need to cut one, since I do not plan to use the rev limiter, because the rev limiter is the only reason for the loops. What can I try. Thanks! Ernest

MSD 6al and RPM Confusion Still

I think I have identified my issue. Either I am suppose to connect both B/W wires to the Red Pertronix wire or I have connected to the wrong BW wire. I connected only one. I am reluctant to connect the other one, fearing that I may cause damage. The one that is connected is the Ignition On Source. The one that is not connected is the Cranking Source. I am confident I have all other connections correct. This is my first attempt at such. Could/Would you help me? Thanks!
