Misfiring. What's wrong!!
Hey everyone this is my first post so i hope someone can help me out.
I have a 1981 280zx which was running fine all though winter and now that the weather is getting hotter (i'm in Australia) my car has developed a misfire. It only seems to happen when the outside temp gets above about 26 degrees celcius. When ever you give the car light throttle you can hear and fell the misfire/s and the car just seems sluggish throught the rev range. I've tried replacing the spark plugs and leads with no change, has anyone else had similar temp related problems.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated

Re: Misfiring. What's wrong!!
Check the coil, cap, rotor button & reluctor air-gap. My R30 was doing the same sort of thing, & it turned out to be the coil & a lead.
You should also check the AFM - which is where the air temp sender is located.
It might also be wise to check out the fuel filter & pump & have the injectors cleaned.
