87.5-88 turbo 300zx came with LSD r200 units. You can also get a quaife(1000 bucks) or a cheapie phantom grip (350, no quaife, but better than a pegleg). Nismo also sells limited slip units for about 900-1000 bucks. Motorsport Auto sells an LSD unit to put into an r180-200 for 700

Ya, and LSD would be fun. I'd like to swap ring and pinion gears to make the 3.7 LSD into a 4.11 LSD!

you can use the 300 turbo rear

lsd unit but it requires some modification to work and they usually come at a price of 400+ for a used unit..

quaife makes a geared lsd for the Z in the R180 unit for about 795 dollars. it also have a great gaurentee

Mudge,
I have been waiting to get a Quaife myself. Dennis had a used one with one race on it and 4:38's for sale in the race forum.

I have seen several Datsun R180's used LSD's and Quaifes
in racing classifieds lately.

The Subie LSD's that would fit the Z are R160's not R180's . They work great in a Dime, but the Z has a bit more torque. I do know of a few road racers that used the Subie rear ends , but they tend to replace them a lot.
