looking for a 280z

Hello all, I've been lurking and reading on this and other forums for awhile now, and today decided to make an account. I've been looking for a five speed 280z, and came across one on craigslist. Could anyone take a look at the ad and give me some thoughts on the car. Yes I know it needs body work, but my main concern is the swapped motor.o

1976 280z (small project)(reduced:x2)

Here are three other ads I've found in the Atlanta area as well.

1977 Datsun 280z sr20det
Datsun 1978 black purl , willwood brakes
1978 DATSUN 280Z

Any information related to buying an s30 would be greatly appreciated as well.

The swapped motor isn't much of an issue. The crash damage would worry me a lot more.

#2 is on the high side.
#3 is way too high.
#4 is on the high side, too.

I suggest you keep looking.

As for information, search the Z Car Home Page.

I'm sure you already know as much as I do, considering I don't know a whole lot about these things, but Steve is definitely right. Those last three are too expensive, and I'd be worried about how much damage the first one sustained. I would go and see the car and assess the damage yourself, while keeping an eye on rust and damage to the frame. $2.7k is probably too high for a car with that much damage anyway.

I feel the consensus is to move on, but I know how hard that can be sometimes.

Here's a nice 260Z. The guy does body work, so I'm sure that is sound.
