L28 bored to 3litre?
I looked at a 240z today, and the guy said the L24 had been bored out to three litres. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I wouldn't think that the block could have that much taken out form it, and if it could wouldn't the block be really weak?

Well if it is an L28 and not a 2.4, then yes there is a conversion for a 3 litre engine... with a few little trinkets and so forth, so yes, if it's an L28 block, it could very well be

Its fairly common to overbore and stroke (using a LD28 diesel crankshaft) one of the L28 blocks to get a 3.0 to 3.2L engine.

No, if your bore it out +.120, you will not have a lot of metal left. A 2.8 over .120 takes it to 3 liters. By this time, the block is sonic testic, magnafluxed, etc. to make sure the thin cylinder walls will be able to handle the hp without flexing during operation which can be a engine destroying flaw.
