I just got a new water pump for my 81 turbo. what do I need to take out, and how should I go about it? believe it or not the instructions that came with the pump actually tell me to use only distilled water- if you dont it voids the waranty. can I do this and still have decent cooling efficiency? all help appreciated, and suggesions as to what else I should do while I have everything apart.

I don't understand why they would say distilled H2O only. b You will never ger all the old water out of your block so if distilled water comes in contact with the old water it isn't distilled any more.Just a thought because living in TX where the water is hard I've never had a problem with regular tap water.
