The stalk for high beam on my 260Z seems to have commited suicide on me. When I pull it back to switch between high and low beam, absolutely nothing happens. And there is very little resistance when I pull it backwards. However, the button on the end of the stalk used to flash the hi beam works fine.

Is there a simple way of fixing this switch, or would I be better off wiring up another switch to activate the high beam

You can still buy the entire assembly (at least the one for the 240). I bought one recently from MSA.

take it off and have a look, i had to do something little to it for it to work 100% as mine worked on and off, but now it works fine, i think it was a spring or something i just tightned up...
