fusible link
fusible link problem .. next to the battery in the fusible links compsrment box , the one on the far right hand side is giving me probs. when it is connect it get hot and my voltage stops dropping and my alternator does not charge my battery. it read the battery voltage ... but... once i disconnect it and check one of the terminals voltage with a tester it reads 14.4 . then when you connect it drops to the battery volts 12.2.

Ok, I dont' have my book in front of me, but whatever that fusable link is for, you can bet that that system or item is drawing some amps constantly. (even with your engine off) you'll need to check out the system. It may be for your lights, or your heater and a/c or something.
