flat top or dished

I've got a '77 z and I'm looking at doing some head work, port & polish, bore, etc. Does my z have the flat top or dished pistons? What's the difference?

I'm pretty sure the '77 L28 has #N42 dished pistons. The dished pistons tend to lower the compression in the cylinders. Hope that helps...

'75----'78 all dished all F-54 blocks that are not turbo have flat topped pistons .
