ENGINE QUESTION...
whats the most common and most effective engine transplant for our Zeds ? is it L28 inj ? how much difference should expect from a bored out L26? is this swap worth while ? Cos i think ive found out why im going thru so many sparkies, i was hoping it wasnt so but its oil... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

umm,... fuel injection is $$$, because the fuel injection with computer, fuel pump thorttle bodies etc etc... and the 280zx efi manifold is wayyy to small to get any performance, unless u find a 280zx turbo manifold very rare in aus
if u go L28 n/a u'll get max 150 160kw at the flywheel for a carbed daily driven street L28 engine, and thats with some dollars into the engine, eg porting etc...
with ur motor in it now, it is gone, maybe get it checked out and see how gone it is, it could just be the rings and the head needs a reco, but u said all sparkies had oil over them yer, then that sounds worse, if u wanna keep ur turbo etc, find a L28 and get it rebuilt to ur Specs with low comp, bigger valves etc to support ur turbo.. to give u more KW
