Checked for power at the fuse box, wasnt getting power so I bypassed the positive wire from the battery to the fuse box and boom it started up again. Unfortunately it melted the fuse box more after a few times of warming up the car over time and now the engine won't turn again. I was able to replaced the fuse box, plugged it in but am only getting a few clicks near the ignition switch (if lucky), and some dashboard lights (if any) *I don't hear my fuel pump running anymore.* Back to nothing.
I'm thinking that the fuse box melt down could of caused a short in the harness. The previous owner also jimmy rigged the fusible link (picture attached) to one solid wire reason why I bypassed the battery to the fuse box.
I'm stuck. Ive gone over the harness/plugs multiple times. Everything is in the same spot. Should I get a new starter? Hit the starter a few times? What can it be?
Anything helps..thank you 🙏
