do you think i should do this or that
Okay for summer its going to be bored as well bored and i'm going to have some extra dough so do you think i should either:
1. buy a engine (just the engine) and learn about it and rebuild it 2. buy a datsun and restore it (it'll probably take more than 3 months) p.s. i said something like that a while ago but now i'm pretty serious about it i was thinking about going with the engine because i could learn about it and when it comes to actually restoring a car i will know what to do with the engine. Well tell me your opinion. |

Uh... No offence, but your prolly better off doing it the other way around. Buying the body, restoring it, then getting a motor. Since having a motor sit for 3months after a rebuild isn't good (unless you over oil an seal it up to ensure no moisture gets into it.).

Re: do you think i should do this or that
None taken, but how much would a body cost me and to restore it? (inside and out)
-that was actually a good idea cause i can let it sit and its not like it would rust in Cali. We haven't had rain in almost a year!!! |
Re: do you think i should do this or that
why not buy the whole car and learn about it as a whole?

Stripped shells vary on body condition but I've seen them 200-800. Can't tell much more because I've never gone to look at one, but that's from what I've seen in the newpaper and in Autotrader.
