Re: Carbs Gotta love them...
Everyone has an opinion - here's mine. The SU is simple but efficient. It provides the fuel mixture directly into the intake manifold - no turns or redirection to cause turbulence. Fewer moving parts than just about any carburator, and almost everything is out in the open and easy to get to. Adjusting the float level is probably the most difficult thing to do, followed by balancing the flow to get the two doing the same thing at the same time, and neither is a particularly difficult task - if I can do it anyone can. No matter what "upgrades" I may make (e.g. 260 intake, electronic ignition, etc.) I have NO plans to run anything but SU's on my 240-Z.
