Carb trouble

260Z with bell top carbs
Now that it has gotten hot I am having trouble with my Z not running great. When it gets hot it hesitates occasionally and loses power when pulling a hill. Runs decent if I am just cruising, but when it has a load it is almost like someone is pushing backwards on the car. It literally feels like someone disconnects one carb. Someone told be that I may need different oil in the carbs... Any suggestions?

Neighbor? The 260 had an electric and a mechanical pump. One or both may be weak. The electric was only a circulating pump to prevent vapor lock and prime the mechanical.
