My car is hesitating when I take it past half throttle. I've had the points changed the spark leads changed. The car is in good tune carbuerattor wise but I haven't been able to solve the issue. Could it be the Ignition coil? Distributor or fuel filter?
I've had a friend look at it but we still are unsure any extra advice would be greatly appreciated.

It very well could be the coil. Are you running a stock coil? If you are, you could upgrade to an MSD or Accel unit (they're cheap from Summit). Also, if the problem persists, it might come down to the distributor... That is much more indepth and you'll have to do a search for the many great articles written on the HEI upgrades and rebuilding, etc. Hope this helps!

 

Yes I am running a stock coil. The problem seems to be getting worse and I think it's either coil or Distributor because I changed the fuel filter which was pretty dirty. I have a 240z which I can borrow a dizzy off to check that it's not the dizzy. As for the coil I will check that after the dizzy if that doesn't solve the problem I'll look to the carbs.
