Car runs like crap when cold runs hot when warm.

Yea, well my performance while the car is cold is getting worse and worse. Now the performance while warm is even staggering. Like i said if the car is cold, or not fully warmed, i get an enormous lag(wont break 10mph) until the turbo kicks in. But now, after the car is warm it heats up pretty high, almost overheating, but doesnt overheat. For some reason it seems like the engine isnt getting enough heat when its cold, then too much when its warm, Or is it something nto involviing thermo? Since it was based on the temp of the car i was thinking it had soemthing to do with the cooling system, hopefully the thermostat.
Blah, this sucks. Help meh please.
