Take them to court!

Get a bunch of local classified ads on cars like yours and show them what they REALLY cost! You'll win, and they'll have to pay for the court fees in the end. It would help if you have pictures of how nice your car was before the accident. I can't belive they say a 280ZX is worth only $800. The KBB value is about $2800 even for a high milage car.

Nationwide sucks!

Hmmm.. I just went to http://www.kbb.com and put in "your" car. I said that it has 150,000 and is in good shape. The private party resale value is only $1,365. or $1600 in excellent condition. That is much lower than it is around here.

The trade-in value is $835 but that is not what they should base your claim on because you are not a dealer getting a trade-in!
