balance tube

Is anyone running the Euro balance tube on their carb'd Z? Or know anyone that is? I ask because I want to clean things up a bit and a Euro balance tube only runs $160 through Nissan Motorsports but it says the linkage assembly is NLA.
This led me to believe that it uses a linkage different from that found on a stateside balance tube. So my question is whether the USDM 240Z linkage is compatible with the European balance tube? If anyone has had to modify a linkage to fit I would be interested to hear what was entailed.

My 240 has an euro balance tube. I used my old linkage when putting everyting back together. The two should go together with no problem. If you still want to get a new linkage try MSA, they have some for sale.

Instead of forking 160 for the parts, you might want to use the tube you already have. Just plug up the threads where the emission stuff was mounted to.

I'd given up hope on getting an answer on this one Thanks

Depending on what my budget is like when I finally put everything back together I will decide which route to go. If I can use my old linkage on the Euro tube then I'm not going to bother with a new linkage. I do plan to have it all replated though cause its seen better days from a visual standpoint.

Even if I did plug up all the misc. fittings on my N36 balance tube it's still pretty bulky compared to the Euro tube. The main thing I dont like is that the tube really bulks up where the EGR comes in. So I might just try cutting that section off the balance tube and welding up the tube. Clean it all up and just paint it.

Time and budget will tell
