AfterMarket A/C
I have a 1978 280z coupe non-California model. I got the car about 10 years ago. I completely tore the thing apart to restore it about 3 years ago and it is about done. I fixed everything electrical in it, but I'm wondering there is an aftermarket A/C kit on it and I live in Iowa. I haven't used the A/C in over 4 years. What is the A/C Aftermarket kits suppose to look like and what simple tools can I use to find mistakes if there is one and see if it stills works.

look up vintage air systems, they make a kit for the Z. you can also see about finding a dealer installed AC kit in the Z (it was offerred as aftermarket at nissan dealers, later as an option from factory).
If you're interested, i have a 240z a/c pump in great shape for sale. you'll have to provide your own core, radiator for the a/c, and lines.
