9" presssure plate

Re: 9" presssure plate
No, the larger pressure plate has more outside "leverage" Basically it engages harder. The larger flywheel/pressure plate combo was used in the turbo ZX (2 seater Turbo and 2+2 Turbo the same) and also the 2+2 n/a just because the car is a little heavier and they figured if you had 4-people in there your clutch might slip if you tried to engage it from a stop on a steep hill.
The larger diameter clutch has more cyntrifical weight and therefore takes a little more power away from the wheels. You'll get more power to the wheels by using a 2-seater clutch. If you drive by yourself most of the time, that should be just fine for your car. If you want a clutch that grabs harder then go with the 2+2 clutch.
From experience, with my 280zx 2+2 I've had four people in the car on a hill, when I engage it in 1st I felt it slip a little. So adding a lot of weight to the car does make a difference. Also, people have built some pretty high performance motors and used a 2-seater clutch with no slipping problems. its your call
