Did the 78 280z ever come in the 2+2 configuration?

According to the zhome.com it looks like they last year Datsun made a 2+2 for the 280Z is 1976. But I think all Z's starting from the 260Z-300ZX had 2+2 models... here's the link that might help a little. I'm pretty sure there are 1978 2+2's though. maybe someone can clarify?

Yeah the 2+2 came out with the 260z in 74 and the 280z had a 2+2, I had a picture of the original sales brochure but I can't find it now don't know what year because in Australia we didn't get the 280z but they did come with 2+2 I am sure of that.

I too can confirm that. I have a 78 2+2 that I'm restoring that I bought in April 1978.
