280Z replacement seat belts needed
I want to replace my 1975 280Z coupe seat belts (2 seater) with aftermarket. They are the stock 3 point with 2 retractors. I want the 3 point with 1 retractor. Anyone done this conversion and where did you get the belts from? Did the new belts come with correct hardware? Thanks.....

This is what I installed in my 260Z: Roadster Retractable Seat Belt.
In the 260Z, I mounted the retractors on the ceiling.

Yes.
Yes, they work well.
The roadster belts are designed for mounting points that are not vertical.
I would advise only using stock mounting points. I did use spacers to allow the retractors to pivot some for a better angle on the belts.
IIRC, the retractor for the 280Z (coupe, not 2+2) is on the strut mount. The roadster style is especially good for this mounting location, provided it can fit in the stock housing. It could work well for you.

One final question, I'm guessing you ordered the 8" sleeve and not the 11"? One is for low buckets and the other for normal.
